The World Health Organization estimates that over 800,000 people die by suicide each year – that’s one person every 40 seconds. Recent research tells us that hundreds of Australians are impacted by each suicide death. Research also tells us that some 65,000 people attempt suicide each year and hundreds of thousands of people think of suicide. Take a minute to think about the pain and suffering suicide being felt by every single person impacted by suicide. Awareness can save lives

This year’s campaign will work on educating the public to the 16 warning signs of suicide and calling on our community to be suicide alert. The 2017 Christmas campaign was viewed over 73,000 just on Grapevine’s facebook page. This year we hope to reach even more of the public.
Christmas is the highest risk period of the year and Grapevine intends to combat that with our targeted message. You can support this campaign on social media by sharing our posts.
